Over the course of a number of years our staff have been proud to support a diverse range of local charities in the South West.

For the last two years we have been supporting the work of Woodstock School, culminating in SH&P paralegal David Burborough’s fantastic fundraising effort in running the 2019 Edinburgh Marathon, in which he single-handedly raised over £1000 in the process.

Woodstock School is part of the Woodway Federation and is a Bristol-based school specialising in the teaching and development of children faced with a level of educational needs that cannot always be satisfactorily provided in a standard school. All young people who attend Woodstock School must have a statement for Educational Needs or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) in which the primary need is ‘Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties’.

Over the last two years we have managed to raise almost £6,000 for this very well-deserving charity thanks to the combined efforts of our staff who have organised and hosted a number of events including corporate golf days, baking competitions, sweet sales and “Christmas jumper” days, as well as individual challenges including David Burborough’s marathon run.

On 26th June 2019 Jon Welfoot, Kalei McHugh and David Burborough visited Woodstock School in Henbury to present Sarah-Jayne Marshall (Woodstock School Finance Administrator) and some Year 6 students with a cheque for £5,825.21 which is going towards the school mini bus fund.
