After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University in 1992, Robin began his career as a patent and trade mark searcher. Originally from London, Robin relocated to Bristol in 1998 whilst working at another patent and trade mark attorney firm, before joining SH&P in 2003.
